Alice Endorsements for November 3, 2015 

Alice is excited to announce our club’s official endorsements for the fall election! On August 19, the Alice membership met and voted to endorse the following candidates:

Mayor: Edwin Lee

Sheriff: Vicki Hennessy

District Attorney: George Gascón

District 3 Supervisor: Julie Christensen

City Attorney: Dennis Herrera

Treasurer: Jose Cisneros

City College Board: Alex Randolph

 

Additionally, the membership voted to endorse these positions on the San Francisco ballot initiatives:

Prop A Affordable Housing Bond: Yes

Prop B Paid Parental Leave Enhancement: Yes

Prop C Expenditure Lobbyists Ordinance: Yes

Prop D Mission Rock: Yes

Prop E Requirements for Public Meetings: No

Prop F Short-Term Residential Rentals: No

Prop G Disclosures Regarding Renewable Energy: No

Prop H Clean Energy Right to Know: Yes

Prop I Mission Housing Moratorium: No

Prop J Legacy Business Historic Preservation Fund: No position

Prop K Surplus City Property Ordinance: Yes

 

Early Endorsement Vote September 14th for November 2016 Races

The Alice membership also voted in favor of holding an early endorsement vote for two races in the November 8, 2016 election – Scott Wiener for CA State Senate District 11 and Kamala Harris for U.S. Senate. This early endorsement vote will take place at 6:30 PM on Monday, September 14th at the LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market St. Mark your calendars!

 

With our fall endorsements in place, Alice’s field work will soon begin. We will need volunteers to help distribute our slate cards and walk precincts for our candidates – more details to come!

AlexAlex Randolph for City College events

Momentum keeps growing throughout San Francisco for Alex’s campaign for City College Board. Since his appointment earlier this year he has been working hard building partnerships all over the city to ensure City College gets back on track and continues to provide access to higher education for thousands of students. Help him retain his role as Trustee of City College this November:
