May Meeting: LGBTQ Youth Homelessness @ San Francisco | California | United States

LGBTQ YOUTH HOMELESSNESS

Nearly 50 percent of homeless youth in San Francisco identify as LGBTQ. At the May General Membership Meeting, we will focus on the challenges they face and what we can do about it. We’ll discuss the current estimated LGBTQ youth homeless population, what services are available, and consider a range of policy options to address their needs to ensure their safety and access to shelter, health care, and education. We’ll also consider whether the City should fund shelter options specifically for LGBTQ youth.
