DR. KENNETH MONTEIRO
Dean of the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University, and, professor and former chair of the Psychology Department at San Francisco State University. He has published in a range of areas including emotion and memory, culture and thought; ethnic, gender and sexual identity.
President of San Francisco Pride Board of Directors, and host and producer of “The Michelle Meow Show,” on KOFY-TV covering the LGBT issues. Michelle’s show can be heard in San Francisco and nationally on the Progressive Voices Network.
Acting Director of Policy and Social Justice, SF Human Rights Commission. Miree has both administrative law and trial court experience serving as counsel to clients from marginalized communities, and joined the San Francisco Human Rights Commission’s Policy Division in 2011 where he investigated and successfully mediated to conclusion a number of long standing discrimination complaints. He maintains an integral role in facilitating the Implicit Bias Awareness Training Module for the City’s executive and high-level management staff.

A longtime LGBT community leader and advocate, she is a co-founder of And Castro for All, And Marriage for All, and the Bayard Rustin LGBT Coalition. Shorter is President of the SF Commission on the Status of Women, and serves as Director of Community Relations at Out & Equal Workplace Advocates.
